CDL Driver

FULL TIME POSITION

SUMMARY

The CDL driver is responsible for transporting different types of goods to/from customer locations and performing trailer retrievals as requested.    

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education and/or Experience – 2 years of previous CDL driving experience preferred.
  • Language Skills – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, Drivers logs, DOT regulated material and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and write English.
  • Computer Skills – Basic personal computer and smartphone skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, DOT electronic logs, and GPS Systems, etc. 
  • Other Qualifications – Valid CDL Class A License, DOT Certification and Medical Card, or ability to obtain such. Travel is required, 90% of the time, in a company provided truck.

FIELD COMPLIANCE Inspector

FULL TIME POSITION

SUMMARY

Emerald Environmental is looking for a full-time Field Compliance Inspector in Kent, Ohio. In this role, you will perform inspections and limited maintenance on environmental monitoring systems including fuel dispensing, stormwater control, and other pollution prevention systems.  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School education(2 or 4-year degree or relevant experience preferred)
  • Related State Certifications (UST & Stormwater) are ideal but not required
  • The ability to perform basic physical tasks including lifting moderate loads and using equipment such as dollies to move heavier equipment
  • The ability to use basic applications on smartphones and tablets

WASTE MANAGER

FULL TIME POSITION

SUMMARY

Emerald Environmental Services is seeking a full-time Waste Manager. This position is an internal technical resource for hazardous/Non-hazardous/recyclable waste-related projects. Responsible for managing all aspects of projects including, project scope, schedule, budgets, client satisfaction, quality control, and regulatory compliance.  This is a supervisor role.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Managerial Experience – 5+ years managerial experience within waste services
  • Waste Experience – Exceptional knowledge and expertise managing all facets of waste projects and employing industry “best practices”
  • Regulatory knowledge – Working knowledge of related OSHA, EPA, DOT, and State regulations
  • Language Skills – Ability to read and analyze. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or board of directors. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.
  • Mathematical Skills – Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Computer Skills – Proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. This role requires a knowledge of Microsoft Office and technology.
  • Other Qualifications – Valid driver’s license is required (CDL a plus). Must be willing to travel occasionally
