Emerald Environmental, Inc. - City of Kent, Ohio
City of Kent Environmental and Economic Enhancement (E-3) Program
The City of Kent is committed to providing vision, leadership, and exemplary services to enhance the quality of life for residents, students, and businesses who have chosen Kent as their home. To that end, Kent is seeking to spur economic growth and sustainable development by focusing on neighborhood revitalization, job creation, and industrial growth.

Recently, the City of Kent was awarded a Petroleum Site Assessment Grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to assess sites throughout the city that may be contaminated with petroleum or petroleum-based products. By assessing these sites and determining if clean-up action is necessary, new sites for small business expansion may be created, utility extensions and urban sprawl can be abated, and sites in neighborhoods with environmental issues can be returned to productive use.

To nominate a site in your neighborhood please fill out the Request for Consideration Form available on this site.

We welcome your comments, concerns, and ideas about this exciting opportunity for growth within the City of Kent. We will continue to update this site with information as it becomes available, so visit this site often. Public meetings to solicit your feedback will be scheduled throughout the project — please check your local newspaper or the news section for those dates and times.
